Magnetism Adventure Science Kit

from Stratton House

Complete review by my ten year old: "Mom, this is cool."

Now for my comments! This is a really great kit -- the kit comes in the mail with a parent's guide, a curriculum manual, and all the "stuff" to complete a study of magnetism. (Which is great for homeschoolers or just a family wanting to have productive fun together.) This kit specifically studies magnetism, and comes with all the supplies and reproducible lessons for making such things as a compass, an electromagnet, and a motor.

Two nice notes for the parent are that the lessons, even though reproducible, are nicely illustrated, so that they don't look like "just a worksheet". And the box comes with all the supplies, so the parent isn't running around trying to find things like special batteries and motor wires.

Given one to two lessons per week, this box definitely provides enough excitement for a trimester, and fun besides.

Rating: Highly recommended
